These are unprecedented times that we are experiencing so I genuinely hope you, your family and your friends are well and taking care.

If we haven’t had the chance to connect, I’m Dausen Duncan, the Coordinator of Undergraduate Student Recruitment for Bumpers College.

If you’re a high school student or attending a different institution and interested in transferring to the University of Arkansas, this post is for you.

No matter who you are or where you are, Bumpers College is here to not only assist you, but also to get to know you because you have a place here with us.Bumpers College student recruiter Dausen Duncan speaking to a prospective student and parent at a 2019 University of Arkansas recruitment event in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

One of the unique elements of Bumpers that you will experience is the simple fact that we connect with our students and make it a priority to know you. With our fall 2019 undergraduate enrollment of approximately 1,900 students, you have the opportunity to attend the largest institution of higher education in Arkansas while still being immersed in a smaller, community-oriented environment.

Don’t let our smaller size fool you, even though we’re the second smallest college at the U of A, we award the most scholarships per student than any other college on campus. This past academic year, we awarded over $800,000 in student scholarships and over 75 percent of the applicants received at least one scholarship, which the average award is approximately $1,500. Your opportunity to receive scholarships in Bumpers College are abundant and we have our very own scholarship director in the Dean’s Office who is readily available to assist any student going through the application process.

Our College offers degrees and prepares you for careers in areas related to agriculture, animals, apparel, business, communications, education, food, hospitality, human development, nutrition, plants, science, technology and more! See for yourself by discovering our majors. Want to know what you can do with those degrees? Check out some of our careers.

In addition, we offer pre-professional programs that will give you a degree while preparing you for medical, veterinary, dental, pharmacy, law, optometry, occupational therapy and chiropractor school.
